Strawberries are one of the earliest fruits to bear in my garden in early June. Every year I eagerly anticipate their arrival, and when the first one is ripe, I relish the joy of eating it right off the bush. I wanted to create an artwork that expressed the sweetness of eating that first fruit of the season.
