Golden Glory in July
Golden Glory in July
Have you stood in your summer garden with your arms full of golden squash and felt overwhelmed with gratitude for such abundance? This artwork expresses that joyful abundance, showing the exhilarating moment when your garden produces more than you can carry. The gardener balances a woven tray overflowing with vegetables against her hip while clutching a stack of bright yellow summer squash in the other. The smooth, glossy skin of the golden squash glows in the July sunshine. You can almost feel their firm weight in your arms and the warmth of the sun on your skin. The lavender dress printed with cheerful yellow flowers echoes the golden harvest perfectly. In the background the lush garden flourishes with tall yellow dill flowers, purple borage and broad green squash leaves. This is the pure joy that comes from experiencing your garden's peak generosity.
Envision this abundant artwork in your kitchen or dining room, where it celebrates the generous rewards of summer gardening. When your guests see it, they'll share their favorite squash recipes or memories of bumper crop years when the garden gave more than they could use. It sparks conversations about how sharing excess produce with family, friends and neighbors strengthens bonds. This artwork celebrates the joyful abundance you experience when your garden overflows with golden summer vegetables.
“The first summer I grew Golden Glory squash I was really impressed with how many squashes were produced by a single plant. I wanted to feature this delicious harvest in an artwork. I noticed one afternoon how the warm light of sunset highlighted the yellow mammoth dill blossoms and this image of me wearing this purple dress with yellow flowers harvesting the squash formed in my mind, so I had to create it. ”
