What Inspired The Design

Did you know that during the victory garden movement of World War II, Americans grew 60% of the produce they consumed?  I would love that to happen again but in the service of economic equity and environmental sustainability instead of war!  I was inspired to do this photoshoot inspired by the famous "Rosie the Riveter" poster while reflecting on that history relative to the current time.  There is a lot of economic inequality and we are at a point of planetary climate crisis, where we need to urgently act to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Growing food at home and in community gardens is something that can help both problems.
